I disagreeMy idea is toreplace Sound Transit with an agenicy that includes Whadcom, Island, Kitsap, Shominish, King, Pierce, Thurston Mason Counties and call it Puget Sound Transit Athorithy. Have the state state turn over all the park and ride lots to PSTA as the owner The counties that border could vote to join PSTA and the orca card system would roll over as well

I disagreeWashington should shut down the outrageously expensive Tacoma Link. It's nothing more than a very expensive 2 mile parking lot shuttle, which hardly has any ridership and accomplishes absolutely nothing to improve transit in Tacoma. The Tacoma Link is a huge waste of transportation resources, labor, maintenance, and has made a joke of the entire Sound Transit system. There may be other parts of the transit system that ...more »
Washington should shut down the outrageously expensive Tacoma Link. It's nothing more than a very expensive 2 mile parking lot shuttle, which hardly has any ridership and accomplishes absolutely nothing to improve transit in Tacoma. The Tacoma Link is a huge waste of transportation resources, labor, maintenance, and has made a joke of the entire Sound Transit system. There may be other parts of the transit system that don't really do anything too that should be re-evaluated and shut down based on effectiveness and priority use of resources.

I disagreeI'd like to suggest that the state get out of the parking lot business, and turn all these huge concrete slabs from a cost center to a money maker. They should contract all government building parking lots, garages and transit park and rides out to private companies who can manage and maintain them for a share of the parking revenue. I'd like to suggest that the state get out of the parking lot business, and turn all these huge concrete slabs from a cost center to a money maker. They should contract all government building parking lots, garages and transit park and rides out to private companies who can manage and maintain them for a share of the parking revenue.
The people using these gray parking lots should be paying user fees - just like the people using our state's green parks pay user fees.
