Privatized pay parking for state parking lots
I'd like to suggest that the state get out of the parking lot business, and turn all these huge concrete slabs from a cost center to a money maker. They should contract all government building parking lots, garages and transit park and rides out to private companies who can manage and maintain them for a share of the parking revenue. I'd like to suggest that the state get out of the parking lot business, and turn all these huge concrete slabs from a cost center to a money maker. They should contract all government building parking lots, garages and transit park and rides out to private companies who can manage and maintain them for a share of the parking revenue.
The people using these gray parking lots should be paying user fees - just like the people using our state's green parks pay user fees.
