Do not suspend the WA Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) as a budget solution. Rather, provide $100 million for WWRP capital grants for parks, trails, wildlife habitat and working farms. Do not suspend the WA Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) as a budget solution. Rather, provide $100 million for WWRP capital grants for parks, trails, wildlife habitat and working farms. WWRP projects create jobs, generate revenue, support farmers, and provide recreational opportunities all across the State. Once open space and farmland is developed, it is lost forever. WWRP has proven to be effective and efficient with the State's money and in meeting the State's primary goal to protect natural resources and cultural and recreational opportunities. Now is not the time to set this important program aside.
