I disagreeVery simple.. Restart the draft program to military.. every kid registers at age of 18.. WHY NOT-- They become real people after tour of duty.. Plus todays military is the hot item for employment.. Only losers would not do this.. like we have now, maybe we could change that.

I disagreeHave public school students riding buses require a bus pass. Something not too ridiculous, like $10 a month or have a family plan like $15/month. Those buses must be costly to maintain/insure/fill with gas. Parents who don't like it can drive their kids or have them walk/bike to school. Obviously this would need low income standards as well.

I disagreeContinue to save on the cost of incarceration by letting those who are programming, have completed a trade or work program and are infraction free for 5 or more years return home with a monthly stipend. It is cheaper than the cost of incarceration is yearly, even if you pay their rent!

I disagreePrepare for a future that is very bleak. We've poisoned our planet beyond the tipping point of preventing a significant collapse of global population due to that poisoning. Getting enough to eat will become the most important budget item within the next 10 - 15 years.

I disagreeMake everyone statewide do emissions. Its not right that just because you live in the country you can have a polluting vehicle and get out of paying for this cost. May collect a few dollars by doing this.

I disagreeIt seems like 1,990 suggestions have been made, not one in review, in progress, and none completed. What are you doing? There are some good suggestions here, have you even been reading them? Time for some action, Queen Crissy, not tomorrow, but today. Get busy and start cutting.

I disagreeReduce sales taxes on aircraft and boats. Currently these are taxed the same as everything else, but they are so portable that many owners leave the state to avoid the tax. It is very simple to register these in another state that has no or very low sales taxes. When this happens, all the businesses that would support these boats and airplanes lose them as customers. No service, storage, maintenance, fuel sales, etc. No sales tax collected for these services, and no jobs in Washington to perform them. The current method costs Washington state lots of tax income because the overall plan is wrong. Florida recently placed a limit of $18,000 on the sales tax on boats as a way to fix this problem. You might say the rich guy who buys a $2,000,000 boat can afford $170,000 in sales tax, and you would be right, he can afford it. But he will not pay it, he will simply license it and leave it in Oregon or British Columbia to avoid the sales tax and then all the future expenses are lost to Washington.

Expand utlization of Dispute Resolution Centers (DRCs). DRCs are private, not-for-profit, or public agencies. Since 1984, twenty local DRCs have been established to provide alternative dispute resolution, mediation and training services. Centers are mandated to provide services independent of clients’ ability to pay, guaranteeing that all citizens have access to a low-cost resolution process when they can’t afford costly litigation and/or when they want to work things out directly with the others involved. According to the Governor’s own budget numbers, the elimination of $500,000, or $7.69 per person, to Dispute Resolution Centers will end up costing the courts $13.65 million, or $210 per person. Imagine what is possible if the state increased the ways that mediation and other conflict resolution services are utilized throughout the state and the savings that could be realized.

I disagreeAll agricultural lands should be protected from non-agricultural development. It should be very difficult to get a permit for development. It should require a 2/3 vote from the residents of the area.

I disagreeLegalize Cock Fighting. It would bring money into the state. All traditional games and sports should be allowed in our state to provide tourist dollars.

I disagreeRequire developers to build all structures below ground. It would create open spaces. Save money on construction and could produce green energy.

I disagreeSell illegal drugs at state stores. Keep the cost low and the product free of impurities. The drug user could get help while obtaining the drug. The drug user wouldnt need to steal or rob people. The drug user would have a clean safe place to use drugs. Needle exchanges would keep the needles in a safe place. I disagreeI suggest you start thinking outside the box. Instead of wringing your hands and admitting to the public that you failed to recognize the economic downturn, call a conference of business leaders with the set topic not to cut, cut, cut government services but think of original fund raising ideas to pull us through e.g. sell a small space for advertising to businesses on state license plates or on electronic signs placed ...more »

Instead of wringing your hands and admitting to the public that you failed to recognize the economic downturn, call a conference of business leaders with the set topic not to cut, cut, cut government services but think of original fund raising ideas to pull us through e.g. sell a small space for advertising to businesses on state license plates or on electronic signs placed on the MANY state office buildings around the state or seek donated items for huge auctions to citizens who receive quality goods or services by buying to donate to the state fund. Start thinking "outside the box" for those of us who have supported you at the polls and in discussions over the years!

I disagreeChange the video camera tickets to a funding that goes to the general fund and not to the city's. also it was suppose to be a ticket equal to a parking infraction and go to the registered owner. the most exspensive parking ticket is $45.00 how are the cities getting away with miss managing the cost amounts.

I disagreeBoating has become so dangerous and alot of people die every year in boating accidents. Alot because there is no enforcement out there. Start a boaters license just like a car. Make your recreation and natural resource officers start doing their jobs in boating. Make them get out there and do their jobs and save lives.

Billions would come in on just $1.00.

I disagreeFire all non-elected state employees who make over $100K yearly. Lower paid workers can and will keep the state offices and programs running as normal, they are the ones doing the work anyway.
